Done!

The book is done now. The only thing that I need to wait on now is to be able to publish it. It may be a month before I know when I can start to make it available. I'll keep everyone posted!

Rough Draft Complete

I am finally done with the rough draft of my first book! It feels good to say that. I cut the book a little shorter than I would have liked but I really have nothing more to write about than I already have in there. The release date will be announced sometime in the coming months.

Full Time

One thing that I've learned from writing my first book is that it really is a full time job. I don't mean that in the working 9 to 5 sense, but at any point throughout my waking hours, I could end up with an epiphany that I need to take notes on. Unfortunately, they usually hit me right as my brain is winding down when I'm trying to sleep. However, I've learned to keep my iPod Touch around to take notes on. I keep it by my bed. The iPod Touch makes a good morning newspaper anyway. I've been making slow progress on actually writing the book. I am about to take a part time job on top of my college school work. I'm sure that I can work on it during my weekends, though. I really believe that it will be worth it. I really believe that what I have to share in this book is important because it is one of the reasons that I am here. That may sound weird, but if I make even a few people think about what I have to share in this book, I've done my job.

Has It Really Been Over Three Weeks?

After over three weeks of not being able to continue work on my book project, I am currently back on track. If I could keep up the pace at which I'm writing the book now, I would be finished within a month. Unfortunately, I have other responsibilities in this world. However, as long as I can keep things going, I'll be done before too long. I've come to a conclusion, based on estimates, of the page count that this book will have. It's not a large number at around fifty pages but considering that I am pulling the majority of the content for the book from my own head, I've found that the inspiration process can be slow. Factor in my other responsibilities and the process is even slower. I also want this book to be as thorough as possible. That means that it is taking longer to write the same things that would otherwise not take me as long to write. I believe that the overall quality of the book will be much greater than if I had been rushing to get it out.

Announcement

An important announcement that affects my book project (in a positive way) has been posted on my personal blog.

A New Chapter

I have begun a new chapter in my book. I am very excited about the subject material in this chapter. I think that it will surprise many. I wish I could say more than that but it will ruin the surprise! This chapter was born out of an "AHA!" moment. I really do not know why I did not think of writing it before. However, I'm glad that I did think of it because I have been having trouble with writers block recently. I hope that this surprise is well received as I believe that it is vital information.

I will have more news to share very soon. No promises, but this news may help me to finish the book earlier than expected.

Twelve More

Twelve more tips have gone in to my book. I didn't get a chance to work on it as much as I would have liked to this week due to a blood sugar crash on Wednesday which left me bed ridden during the time that I had set aside to write that day. I'm glad I was able to work on something in the book this week, though. I also settled on the font that I will be publishing in. Times New Roman 12 point seems to be a decent standard. It's an APA standard for a reason.
